Dr. Villarreal also understands the needs for patients with cognitive or physical disabilities. As for all patients, sedation produces a lowered level of consciousness so that the patient may undergo dental treatment in a “twilight sleep”. Patients will be semi-conscious with the ability to respond to verbal commands but will have little or no memory of the procedure.
